I follow the Sun

Wow, this would have to be my first real digital painting ever. o.0 Like no joke. And its not just some outlined picture I drew and added some terrible cell shading, because I just suck at cell shading I actually drew this from scratch, of course with the help of some reference pics XD
This piece was actually inspired by a song that kind of just came onto my ipod while I was working in photoshop and I just got a burst of inspiration! It took me a little under two hours and its nothing special or actually good honestly, but I'm actually a bit proud of this because I actually tried really hard and used some techniques I've learned over the years and I think its...ok. XD
In truth, this piece is actually kind of personal as well. I like to imagine I am the Raven, that can take flight whenever it pleases, and I just want to soar into the sky and fly higher and higher, till I leave the atmosphere, and the planet completely, flying into space, till I reach the sun. I suppose this is a symbol of the kind of freedom I so long for. Ever since I was a child, I've wished I was a bird because birds can go anywhere, simply by taking flight. I guess I kind of see birds, the Raven, as being totally free.
I wish I was a bird.
